3 leadership traits to be an effective leader

I struggled to be a LEADER

But once I learned the 3 leadership traits to build high-performing teams, my life changed.

“No one is taking me seriously, no one is respecting me. No one is hearing me out.”

Have you been in that situation before whereas as a leader you're trying to lead teams? But no one cares about what do you say, I was in that situation several years ago. And that led to low-performing teams really bad feedback for me.

But then I started researching what makes a great leader. And I started shadowing some of the great leaders in different companies I work for. And I found out, everyone followed three common traits to build high-performing teams and earn the respect of the team.

And these are the three things you want to keep in mind.

  1. The first thing is set clear goals, deadlines and expectations. Because there's a thing we don't know the destination address, you can expect to know which direction you want to go while traveling. Similarly, your team cannot work towards a common goal if they do not have clear expectations, and the set timeframe within which they have to finish their work.

  2. The second thing you want to keep in mind is invest in collaboration tools, there are so many collaboration tools out there, make sure you remove all the bottlenecks in open communication.

  3. The final thing you want to keep in mind is empower your team. Everyone in your team already have great skill sets, identify their strengths, start assigning tasks based on their strengths, and let them take ownership of those tasks. And that's when they stay motivated. That's when they have this feeling of empowerment. And there you go. Those are the three traits to build high-performing teams.
