How to do Time Blocking?
One of the things people ask me is how am I able to manage multiple things at once.
So I do speaking, writing, I do coaching. I consult with companies. I spend time with my family. I do a lot of traveling. I do work out. So how do I perform at a really high level? Manage all these tasks. That's where time blocking comes into the picture.
So every day, what you need to do is block times to focus on one particular. And usually, it should be the critical task, which you need to focus on for that particular day.
So say for example, in the morning, I usually block three to five time blocks per day and they're usually one hour chunks of time where I focus on one particular thing, no Facebooking, no text messaging. I put my phone and do not disturb and focus on one particular thing.
And that is called Time blocking, and that's how you do deep work. And that's how you produce at a really high level.
