How to make the Job Application Process less Overwhelming?
“Man, I'm feeling so exhausted.”
How many of you have felt this way? When applying for jobs?
“I, for one always had this feeling and a lot of people have similar kinds of feelings that's because job application process is overwhelming. That's why you need to have three things in mind when you apply for jobs.”
Have a goal of how many jobs you wanna apply for per week. Say if it's 50 jobs, then chunk it down to 10 jobs per day during the weekday.
Block time for applying for jobs every day. Say from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM, you're gonna apply for jobs, or from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM you're gonna apply for jobs. Block a certain time. And in that way, it becomes a routine and you automatically start doing it.
Subscribe to the job alerts. So, what do you mean by that? So if you go to websites like Glassdoor, Indeed, and Zip recruiter. When you search for a particular job, you can create job alerts. And when you create job alerts, all the job openings come automatically to your email inbox. Instead of you trying to search for different job opportunities on each and every website every time you wanna apply for jobs. In this way, you're taking a proactive approach to apply for your jobs.
And that's how you make this whole process less stressful.
