What MOTIVATES me?

A lot of people have asked me "HOW I KEEP MYSELF MOTIVATED?"

Over the years, I have accomplished a lot of notable things in life and had to have different sources of motivation to do it.

“How many of you have decided to go to a gym then you buy a premium membership, fancy ass gym gear, and you end up only going for two weeks, or you decide that this is the year you're going to change your job. You come up with a detailed plan, but you're too lazy to execute it.”

I know that feeling because I've been there. And the main reason for this is we lack motivation. So the next question is, how do you stay motivated? It starts from understanding that there are two types of motivation you have intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation.

Intrinsic motivation is when you have something inside you that motivates you, and some strategies to trigger intrinsic motivation as you need to have passed to self-talk. Write down your fear stressors in life, make them visible. Think about how we would feel if we succeed in a particular task, predict our future successful self. That's how you do it.

Extrinsic motivation, which is something that is external to you that motivates you. And a way to trigger extrinsic motivation is to have inspirational quotes. I have it stuck out or stuck on the walls all over my house in my office, have an accountability partner, hire a coach, have a mentor, read motivational books and listen to motivational talks and that's how we stay motivated.
