What is Empowering Leadership?


A lot of people have asked me what's my style of leadership.

My style of leadership is Empowering Leadership where you set clear goals, deadlines, and expectations, develop the person, motivate the person, and then sit back and let the person run the show while you check in with them periodically and make sure you give them the necessary support.

In that way, people feel more empowered. They feel they're responsible for something. It makes them value their job and helps them in their personal and career growth as well. Research has found that when you empower people, the retention rate in companies increases and people become more loyal to the project and the product and the company as well.


And that's been my style of leadership for the past eight, nine years, and it's really helped me to earn the team's trust and credibility as well.
