How employers can make employees stay at their companies


A lot of people have been moving to different jobs and it's the time of the great resignation this being the case, “How can employers retain their talent during this time?

Here are six ways employers can make employees stay at their companies

  1. Continue flexible work arrangements. Because with Covid, people got used to working from home. They were forced to work from home, and now in the post covid era. Work from home is not a luxury, but it's a necessity. So that is something you really want to keep in mind.

  2. Introduce programs to support employees where they are. With most people working remotely, introduce some programs which could support them by working remotely. You could give travel benefits, you could get them new cameras, ergonomic chairs or whatever be the case. Introduce programs or supply resources to help people where they are.

  3. Train leaders on how to manage distributed teams. Especially right now when most people are working remotely, you have to train the leaders to shift their mindset and shift their thinking so that they could give the necessary support to the team as well.

  4. Have end-of-the-year team bonding activities. Now we are coming closer to the holiday season, this is a time when you can find people at one location, have team bonding activities, make sure people introduce themselves, and then spend time with each other. And that's how team morale increases as well.

  5. Give employees bonuses and rewards for the hard work they've put in in the past two, or three years. The past two, or three years have been hard for everyone, and one of the best ways to show support is by giving them bonuses and rewards, for the extra work they have done.

  6. Have town hall sessions and open discussions about how employees are feeling in the company. Employees should be able to ask questions directly to the leadership team and have that open communication in town hall meetings, all hands meetings. They really, really help to increase the communication between employers and employees.


So those are the six ways you can increase retention at your company.
